Percussion and Drill Design
Looking for a percussion arranger for the fall? Or maybe a drill designer? Kolby’s designs are meant to be educational, original, flexible, and punctual. Before writing, a one on one meeting will be scheduled to ensure you get the product you are looking for at a fair price. Simply put, your students will receive “education through design.”
Drill samples are only available upon request. All consultations and initial meetings/conversations are noncommittal and free.
Clinics
Kolby has been a clinician for groups in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. His main areas of focus for clinics are percussion and visual execution. His approach emphasizes using fundamental techniques in a practical and efficient way. This approach ensures the performers have a thorough understanding of the tasks asked of them.

Lessons
Kolby offers Skype lessons to anyone interested. He has given private instruction to many a variety of age levels and on a variety of percussion instruments. While most of his writing experience is in the marching arts, Kolby’s private lessons have ranged from the marching arts, to solo literature on a variety of percussion instruments. In his time as a graduate student he gave percussion lessons to both undergraduate percussionists and undergraduates studying other instruments but wanted to be more knowledgable about percussion. He has given middle school and high school lessons on materials over future playing tests for school, drum corps auditions, all state/region auditions, solo and ensemble, or on how to be a better musician.
